Suzanne's Railway Reference - this website represents my attempts to bring lots of things about railways into one place.

Random Picture

A lot of the content on this website is URLs, which hopefully lead to other websites of interest, anything from preservation societies to railway clubs, magazines publishers, train operating companies etc. Plus a few other URLS which we hope may be of use or interest. So far there is over 1,270 URLs listed here. There are also some pictures, and details of our hoped for garden railway in 16mm scale on 32mm gauge track.

We try to add to this website as regularly as time permits, we also try to keep it updated on a regular basis, correctly spelling mistakes etc.

This website is provided as a free service, it is also a non-profit making site but you can help to keep it running by making a donation, however large or small. You can make a secure payment with any major credit card through PayPal. Click the button on the right of the screen to go to the PayPal website. All donations are gratefully received and help to pay the website hosting fees which currently are £250 per year.

Some data within these pages may be incomplete, any help with filling in the blanks would be greatfully appreciated, please send us an email via the Contact-Us page. Considering the number of URLs contained within the pages of this website, it will be appreciated that we do not have time to check them all. If we find a link that doesn't work, we remove it, if you find a link that doesn't work from this site, tell us via the Contact-Us page, we'll check it, and delete it as necessary.

We like to hear from you the users of this website, tell us if you find the website useful. Tell us what you think. Send us comments and suggestions, or brickbats or bouquets. Send any of these by way of an email via the Contact-Us page. (Note, you may have to send bouquets via the local flower shop!)

Please note, that although there are indexes to various model and prototype magazines on this website, you can only access them if you are a registered user. This means that you must create an account and register with the website. You will then be able to access the magazine indexes. Registering with us does not mean you will be subject to endless unwanted emails, neither will we be giving your email address to anyone else. We respect your privacy.

Helping railway model makers to find useful articles in the modelling press that will help them with their model making.

This website is designed for people who have an interest in railways and model railways. Behind the scenes there is an index to modelling magazines and also some books about railways. There are many URLs to various websites which we hope will be of interest too. Many of the URL references are biased towards 16mm scale model railways, particularly outdoor garden narrow gauge railways, but there are many more others.

We've built this website as an aid to finding published information, whether it is a drawing or a picture, or maybe about an individual company or maybe a product. There's some pictures, some video footage we've taken with our Fuji S9600 camera, not the best, but we are only amateurs at film making. We hope the website will help you find just the article you need for that modelling project. We try to add new indexes each week, but sometimes work and family commitments preclude this.

You can use the search facility (located top right), to look for references to magazine articles, use a minimum 3 characters and maximum of 30 characters.

To see the indexes, you need to register with this website.

This website is best viewed full-screen on at least a 17inch monitor, it will work on smaller sized screens, but the displayed picture can be a little erratic at the best of times.
